RENTERS INSURANCE

RENTERS INSURANCE

Fire doesn't care if you own your home or rent it. Thieves are not concerned with whether you're an owner or a tenant. Unfortunate things can happen, and renters need to protect their belongings just like property owners. Renter’s Insurance covers property in the event of fire, theft or vandalism and includes liability coverage in the event someone sustains injury or property damage while on your premises.

If you are like the majority of renters you probably think that you do not need renters insurance. You think, "it could never happen to me". But as a renter you are still at risk of loosing your possessions to such incidents like fire or theft. Your landlord's insurance policy will not protect you.

Personal Property

This will help provide coverage for personal belongings such as clothing, furniture, computer equipment, appliances and electronics (TV, stereo, etc.) for incidents including fires, theft, smoke damage or if the building collapses. You cannot count on your landlord's insurance to cover your personal property because in most cases the landlord will on have insurance that covers the building structure.

Personal Liability

Personal Liability provides you coverage if someone besides yourself was to get hurt in your home regardless if you are home or not. For example, if someone slips and falls in your kitchen which results in an injury you are liable for their injuries because it happened at your home, which could potentially bring forth expensive medical bills or even a law suit.

Did you know?

That property crime is more likely to occur among residents living in rented property as opposed to residents who own their property.
